The role of women since 1914 has been very controversial.In the past 5-10 years women have been given a more prominent role such as Navy Seals and Air Force Pararescuers. Women make up 14,6% of the military mainly concentrated in the U.S. Army but the Air Force has the greatest female to male ratio.
